new album, late 2025.
A native Nebraskan, Logan Vath’s words seamlessly weave in the unique landscape of his upbringing: the still places where the Sandhills meet the plains, and those plains cascade on to greet the Rockies. Much like this topography, the songs often offer a stream of consciousness that ask far more questions than they do provide answers. We openly embrace ambiguity here.
Songs from Logan’s 2016 EP, “In the Presence of the Kingdom” and 2018’s “Lost on Leaving” have found themselves on Spotify’s “Roots on the Rise” and “Fresh Folk” playlists as well as Apple’s “Breaking Singer/Songwriter.”
Recently, he was a finalist in the Rocky Mountain Singer Songwriter Festival and less recently, he was awarded first place in CF Martin’s “Lifespan” songwriting competition. Logan has performed at numerous singer/songwriter festivals, including an invitation to The Foundation Stage at the acclaimed Newport Folk Festival in 2022. He’s supported a bunch of songwriters and bands you’ve most likely heard of.
Logan lives in Norfolk, Virginia with his wife and two boys. He is actively working on a forthcoming release of songs and enjoying select performances both regionally and nationally.
